Golden Triangle Tour
INDIA is a land of remarkable diversity – from ancient traditions, artistic heritage, and fantastic biodiversity to magnificent landscapes and culinary creations – India will ignite your curiosity, shake your senses and warm your soul.
This tour covers Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore, and Jaipur.
DELHI, Nothing can prepare you for the assault on your senses when you visit the fantastic city with aromatic spices to the sight of Delhi. From the exotic scent of aromatic spices to the sight of the colorful markets and the incessant tooting of car horns, you will be in for a unique experience.
India’s fascinating capital city is split into Old Delhi and New Delhi. The ‘new’ part dates from 1920 and includes the imposing India Gate, the impressive Parliament House, as well as two monuments from Delhi’s past – Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar. Old Delhi was once a walled city and outside the majestic Red Fort is Chandni Chowk, a congested avenue filled with twisting lanes, small streets, and crowded bazaars.
AGRA is home to the world’s most famous monument to love –the Taj Mahal. Its marble exterior reflects rose and golden tints at sunrise and sunset, while it is dazzling white during the day. And despite the hype, it’s every bit as good as you’ve heard.
Elsewhere in Agra is the impressive Agra Fort, where you can visit the chambers of this royal residence. The legacy of the Mughal empire has left a magnificent fort and a liberal sprinkling of fascinating tombs and mausoleums, and there’s also fun to be had in the bustling chowks.
RANTHAMBHORE, once the hunting ground of the Maharajah of Jaipur, Ranthambore was declared a game sanctuary in 1955, and in 1980 it became a national park.
Ranthambore is famous for its tigers and offers some of the best opportunities to see these magnificent creatures, along with many other species of wildlife. The National Park is set against the backdrop of the ruins of the Ranthambhore Fort, this erstwhile land of Indian royalty is now the domain of the Royal Bengal Tigers.
JAIPUR, one of India’s most beautiful cities is home to one of the most photographed buildings the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a spectacular façade with latticed screens, domes, and spires.
At the City Palace, you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art. Nearby stands Amber Fort, a marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below, and featuring beautiful interior decoration.
